Fukuyama Kart (Fukuyama Grand Prix) is a free kart racing game that runs in your browser and takes you through the real streets of Fukuyama and the port town of Tomonoura, Japan. Buildings, roads and terrain come from the 3D city model published by Project PLATEAU, Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). No install or sign-up — it plays on PCs and on phones (iPhone and Android).
20.7 km point to point — this one does not loop. You start in front of Fukuyama Station, join Route 2, pass under the JR viaduct on Route 313 and come around the east side of Fukuyama Castle, whose keep stands in PLATEAU's aerial-photo texture. The course runs west on Route 2 past Kusado Inari Shrine, follows the embankment road down the Ashida River, crosses the river mouth on the Ashidagawa Ohashi cable-stayed bridge, then runs 7 km south along the Seto Inland Sea on Route 22 into Tomonoura, finishing at the Joyato stone lantern (built 1859, 11 m tall) with Bentenjima island offshore. The width of the road changes section by section to match the real thing — 20 m on Route 2, 9 m in the lanes of Tomonoura.
SOLO PLAY races you against AI karts. ONLINE PLAY is online multiplayer for up to 8 players in the same race, with AI filling any empty seats. Use items and drift mini-turbos to move up the order.
